Meet Eliza
Eliza-Beth Cole is a thoughtful girl who can also be a bit of a prankster. She feels it's important to always put your best foot forward as you never know who is looking. But behind closed doors, she's not afraid to show her silly side.

Elizabeth is home!
After more than a month of waiting, Eliza is home! And the best part is that her wig issue was considered a defect by American girl. They replaced her head for free. 😄
Containing the doll hospital logo.
The pattern on the hospital down is adorable!
She even got socks with little hearts.
A hospital ID bracelet...
Certificate of good health:
And a get well card.
Welcome home Eliza-Beth! You have been missed.

New Addition!
As I am still waiting for Elizabeth to return from the doll hospital, I decided it was time to acquire a doll I've been looking yet constantly since I heard about her a few years ago.
I think another Carpatina Fantasy Adventures doll may be in my future!
Carpatina is a line of slim body, all vinyl dolls. Like American girl, they are 18 inches tall and can share some clothing. Their bodies are significantly narrower than AG dolls.
These dolls are beautifully and carefully packaged. They come in a beautiful blue box protected by an outer plastic wrap.
I purchased a doll and two outfits directly from their website. They also sell on eBay but there's a significant Mark up there.
Her face is just stunning!!!
The doll herself has a beautifully detailed molded vinyl body, hands and feet.
Her hair is silky black wig. The same kind of wigs American girl dolls.
One of the outfits I purchased for her was the Avalon gown. It's a spectacular piece of craftsmanship in itself. Snaps up the back rather than Velcro.Friday, February 27, 2015
Spring is Coming, Eventually
Kate is back to show off an outfit that I've had in the drawer for a while.
The pants and T-shirt are by Sophia's and have amazing detail.
Hot pink stitching on the pants including the pockets.
Pinch front on the T-shirt.
Earings are by 2sisters doll jewelry on Etsy.
The bracelet is from a retired AG outfit.
The shoes are from Josefine's feast dress.
What a Fun early spring outfit. 😀

Meet Molly
Molly McIntire is the oldest doll in my collection. I received her for Christmas in 1987. She was the first doll any of us had ever seen with light brown hair and blue grey eyes which was the closest any doll ever came to being my twin as a child.
Molly has a beautiful Grey eyes with just a hint of blue. She's also the only doll to date to be issued with glasses.
Molly will always hold a special place in my heart for the memories I made with her and the way she helped me grow as a child.

Kate is Jealous
Kate was jealous that Josefina got a solo post just because she got a new outfit and insisted she get to show off too.
Kate is modeling the current purchase with purchase teal dress with her new thrift store denim jacket.
She loves that her jacket has a real zipper not just Velcro.
Now if it was just warm enough outside not to need snowboots and her heavy parka...
What do you think? I love it!!

Josefina's new outfit
While I not so patiently wait for the rumored revamping/refreshing of Josefina's collection for the beforever line, I felt like she needed something new.
Her new outfit is by terristouch on Etsy. The boots are from her meet outfit.
I love the quality and fit of this outfit. The hints of bright turquoise are perfect for the American Southwest.
What do you think?

Doll Hospital, Here Comes Eliza
Acording to a few of my boards, the doll hospital is quite backed up right now. So it can take about three or four weeks for repair.
I've only used the AG doll hospital to fix "silver eye" on a doll. That was a positive experience. So i'l hoping a new head is easy surgery for Elizabeth.
I shall find out. Meanwhile I'll be missing one of my favorite dolls! 😟

How I Display and Store
If you have AG, collect, AG, etc. One thing you find out quickly is that organization is important! Here is how I currently store and display my collection.
It's a larhe armoire with 2 drawers. I can get five dolls across and have the depth for three risered rows if i choose.
The two shelves are removable and adjustable. Hair and other snall accessories are stored in Rebecca's chest on the top shelf by the animals.
Each drawer holds clothes. The top one houses historical outfits each in its own ziplock bag labeled with a picture and name of the outfit. Same system for the modern clothes in the bottom drawer.
Each character has a labeled divider so all her outfits stay together.
Its not perfect yet, but it is a nice safe place for my collection. It even had doors i can close to protect the girls from small children.
Its a work in progress for sure, but right now its working well.
