Who Will She Be?

So, a fellow adult collector attends the Madison Children's Musium benefit sale every year. For the last few years, she has volunteered to pick up dolls for people who can't attend. This year, i was one of the lucky ones to get a doll from ET's trip to the sale!

I gave her a list of three dolls and asked her to pick one for me. It was hit or miss as to if or who i would end up with.

Here are the dolls i gave her in my list- #16, #52, or #38.

#16 -  brown-black hair, brown eyes.

#38 - red hair hazel eyes and freckles.

#52 - blond hair, green eyes.

She arrived on Wednesday!

Oh the anticipation of my new cutie!

So, guesses?

And she is #16!!

Boxes from the MCM sale are usually a little beat up!

Ok, so i don't need two of this outfit. May put it up on ebay...

Beautiful dark hair!

Ahhh! She is so ADORIBLE!!!!!

There is something just darling and unique about her. I can't put my finger on it, but she has so much personality!!

She is a unique doll who needed a unique name. She will center in the early1900s-19teens. Unique elligant names were popular in the edwardian era.

Meet Briella!

Welcome to the doll family Brie!

Meet Nora

Meet the newest custom in the house Eleanor Lynn Potter!

Nora is my look-alike dial and her time. Is my childhood. Nora is that "different" girl. She is super smart; yet school does not come easy. She has an outstanding memory and can still remember the words to the solo she saying in kindergarten. She loves to read anything she can get her hands on and can't fall asleep at night without an audiobook.

Nora has a body from a my AG with freckles, a #55 wig, and Marie Grace's eyes.

What a darling! Don't you agree??

Meet Priya

Priya is a bright, quiet girl who always thinks before he speaks or acts. She loves learning and reading anything she can get her hands on.

She is one of the three new dolls released on May 21, 2015-Truly Me #62.

She has the absolutely beautiful Sonali face mold, and amber eyes.

Her hair is also a new medium length. Not too short, and not too long.

Priya is a gorgeous unique style who I feel helps round out my collection.

Meet Meg

Meg  (Margaret Mildred "Kit" Kittredge) is a spunky and lively tomboy. She conquers embarrassment through thriftiness and is always ready to lend a hand.

Nicknames: Kit, Maggie, Megs

She loves helping aunt Millie in the garden.

Meg is a Beforever Kit doll with the hair that is shorter in the back.

Meg is definitely Little Miss Photogenic. It must be her deep blue eyes and cute little smile.

Meet Eliza

Eliza-Beth Cole is a thoughtful girl who can also be a bit of a prankster. She feels it's important to always put your best foot forward as you never know who is looking. But behind closed doors, she's not afraid to show her silly side.

She has beautiful pin curls that sometimes let loose and go a little wild.
Her original hairstyle is so pretty and unique. It fits her personality well.

Eliza is such a lovely lady. Pointy chin, slightly pouty mouth and all.

New Addition!

As I am still waiting for Elizabeth to return from the doll hospital, I decided it was time to acquire a doll I've been looking yet constantly since I heard about her a few years ago.

Carpatina is a line of slim body, all vinyl dolls. Like American girl, they are 18 inches tall and can share some clothing. Their bodies are significantly narrower than AG dolls.

These dolls are beautifully and carefully packaged. They come in a beautiful blue box protected by an outer plastic wrap.

I purchased a doll and two outfits directly from their website. They also sell on eBay but there's a significant Mark up there.

Meet Anna Ming! She's a beauty!!

Her face is just stunning!!!
Those are real working knot and loop buttons.

The doll herself has a beautifully detailed molded vinyl body, hands and feet.

Her hair is silky black wig. The same kind of wigs American girl dolls.

One of the outfits I purchased for her was the Avalon gown. It's a spectacular piece of craftsmanship in itself. Snaps up the back rather than Velcro.

I think another Carpatina Fantasy Adventures doll may be in my future!

Meet Molly

Molly McIntire is the oldest doll in my collection. I received her for Christmas in 1987. She was the first doll any of us had ever seen with light brown hair and blue grey eyes which was the closest any doll ever came to being my twin as a child.

Molly has a beautiful Grey eyes with just a hint of blue. She's also the only doll to date to be issued with glasses.

Molly has the very first white muslin body which was only used for a few years. If you look closely, you can see the white muslin poking out of her button-down shirt. Yes, those are real buttons!

Molly will always hold a special place in my heart for the memories I made with her and the way she helped me grow as a child.

Meet Felicity

Felicity is my second oldest doll by about five to seven years. Maybe more! I received her from my grandparents and aunt in 1991 - just months after she was launched. I'm not sure you can see in any of the pictures, but she has the beautiful soft eyelashes characteristic of Pleasant Company/Pre-Mattel dolls.

She is the doll i first fell in love with for her pure beauty. Her story is by far one of my favorites.

Look at those eyes!

She is a true carot-top and has the spunky personality to boot! She fights for what is right. Even if her methods aren't always "propper". Besides her love of justice, Felicity has a curiosity about the world she lives in. She is growing up in a time of great change. Yet she is wise, compassionate, and genuine beyond her years.

Even as a child i found Felicity's collection special.

The detail amazes me to this day. She is a doll worth cherishing.
