Hoy es Cinco de Mayo

Since today is Mexican Independence Day (Cinco de Mayo), I thought it fitting to feature Josie.

It's an extremely bright "feels like summer" day here. So getting pictures was a challenge.

The sun was warm but Josie didn't mind.

Molly, Kate, Felicity, Meg, Eliza, Josie, & Anna.

Molly loves her new green t-shirt.

Felicity loves the wrap style top and Meg is so excited to show off her overalls.

Kate was a little chilly. So she opted for chords while Eliza wanted to feel the sun on her toes!

Josie loves the details on her Peter Pan collared shirt and Anna... Well she wanted to wear her new purple dress!

Beautiful Day Photos with Josie

Josie was so excited to put on her pretty pink sundress this morning! It's still a little chilly.

With the sunshine in on her face, she couldn't resist laying down in the grass.

I can't believe no one else wanted to wake up early and come share this Beautiful morning with me.

Feliz Cumpleaños Josefina!

Happy birthday Josefina!! 

According to American Girl, her birthday is March 19, 1815! That is exactly 200 years ago today!

Josefina's new outfit

While I not so patiently wait for the  rumored revamping/refreshing of Josefina's collection for the beforever line, I felt like she needed something new.

Her new outfit is by terristouch on Etsy. The boots are from her meet outfit.

I love the quality and fit of this outfit. The hints of bright turquoise are perfect for the American Southwest.

Western Shadow Play

I took Josefina out yesterday afternoon to play with the afternoon shadows. She looks adorible in this modern riding outfit! The dress is a little on the short side. So i added a pair of white leggings from Sophia's.

Meet Josefina

Josefina is my newest doll as of this writing. She has only been with me about a week. I have wanted her for years, but wasn't sure how she would photograph. 

Today i took her out in the afternoon partial sun for a few photos. 

She is a quiet shy girl who values family above all else. She enjoys cooking especially when it is with food she and her family grew on their rancho.

Josefina loves music and misses singing with her mama when she was little. 

I absolutely love how different Josefina looks in different lighting conditions! Her medium skin tone can look really dark...

Or quite light.

She has a look shared by no other doll.
